The story of Intensive Care Ministries began in 1994 with a God-given vision to Senior Pastor Don Vining. In this vision he saw a church that was inspired to live by John 12:32, "and if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto Me."

This body of believers would be God’s hands reaching out to bring healing to the broken hearted and help those who had been "church-hurt" find a place of restoration. This place would be willing to walk and wait for the Spirit of God to bring His super-natural surgery to people that would come hurting spiritually, mentally or physically. This would be a place to minister to those in desperate need of the intensive, loving-kindness and care of a real caring and compassionate God.

July 24, 1994 a group of people met at Pastor Vining’s home for their first service, then called the Summerfield Church of God. The congregation grew quickly from that first home meeting, moving to a store front with 55 people in their 3rd week of meeting. May 5, 1995 the congregation broke ground for their new sanctuary to be built on their newly purchased 10 acre campus at their current location in Summerfield on Hwy. 441.

Since that day in 1995 Intensive Care Ministries has opened a beautiful Sanctuary and Family Life Building which houses the Intensive Care Ministries Preschool ministering to over 100 children daily. Although Intensive Care Ministries is an impressive place to see, more importantly is the welcome atmosphere you will experience when you walk in the door. You will also find…

Our story is still being written each and everyday and we invite you to come and experience the life changing, tangible Presence of Jehovah, the living God! You’ll never be the same!
